PET

The Parameter Estimation Toolkit (PET) facilitates the discovery of rate constants and the exploration of parameter space for ODE (Ordinary Differential Equation) based biological models. PET allows the user to define multiple in silico experiments that mimic in vivo and in vitro experiments. Data from the in vivo and in vitro experiments can be entered into PET and directly compared with simulation results from the in silico experiments.

Although PET was specifically designed for biological model development, users may find PET useful for a wide range of chemical kinetic modelling.

Jason Zwolak (owner of InSilica Labs) developed PET during his post doctorate research at Virginia Tech. Now, contracts for development on PET come through InSilica Labs. PET remains free to download and use.
